You’ll find Vasstech in St James Retail Park, Knaresborough (HG5 8PW), just a couple of minutes from the town centre and easy to get to whether you’re local or travelling in from nearby areas. We’re based in a really convenient spot, with plenty of shops and food spots in the retail park, and Knarsborough town centre is within walking distance if you’re planning to wait while we work on your car.
If you’re coming from further out, we’re around 15 minutes from Wetherby and under 20 minutes from Harrogate. A lot of our customers make the short trip, often after being quoted higher prices at main dealerships, and choose us for a more straightforward, reliable alternative.

We’re currently open Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, with a 5:00pm finish on Fridays.
Do you have parking?
Yes, we’ve got parking available on-site. You just park up and then we’ll sort out getting your car pulled into the garage.
Can you give me a quote before starting work?
Absolutely, we’ll give you a quote before we start our work, and then if any issues arise or we uncover something sinister when properly looking into your car, we’ll get in touch before going further. We never want anyone to have a nasty shock when they come to pick their car up.
How quickly can I get booked in?
Within the same week (if you’re looking for an ASAP booking) is always our aim, but it depends on the complexity and size of the job. We’ll always do our best to be flexible to your busy schedule, as we understand getting your car to the garage can be a pain around a busy life. We can also go way in advance if you like to be prepared.
Do I need to book in advance or can I just turn up?
We’d always recommend booking in advance for your routine maintenance (MOTs, servicing, etc). However, we understand that urgent issues often crop up, so give us a call and we’ll do our best to get you sorted that day.
Are you cheaper than a dealership?
We’re often always cheaper than the main dealers. Typically main dealerships have a mark up for the brand and their overheads, it’s not because the service is better. With us, you get a slightly cheaper price and the same quality of service (often one that’s more personal too).
How much is an MOT at Vasstech Knaresborough?
Our MOT tests start at £45, and then any repairs that potentially need carrying out will be priced separately (and we’ll let you know before starting the work). It’s easy to get booked in with Vasstech. If you want to get booked in imminently, we’d recommend you ringing up and we’ll get that sorted. Or, you can send an enquiry through our website with your preferred date and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours. When the day arrives, you can drop your car off from opening time. You might want to wait at our garage (we’ve got coffee and Wi-Fi) or take a stroll around the retail park and do a bit of shopping. Or feel free to head off for your day and come back when you’re ready – we’ll give you a ring when it’s ready to pick up, or if any unexpected issues/delays arise that you need to be aware of.
Is your work warranty approved?
Yes, there’s no need to worry about your warranty. We follow manufacturer standards every time and use only genuine OEM parts, so your cover stays intact while your car gets the care it needs.
Can I wait while my car is serviced?
Yes, of course. You’re very welcome to wait with us while your car is being serviced. We have WiFi, refreshments and a comfortable waiting area to help you relax.
