At the Car Wash

A new survey has announced that just under half of motorists now take their vehicle to a professional valet service or to an automatic car wash, instead of cleaning it themselves.

10% of car owners wash their car once a week at home, compared with 44.9% who frequently take their car to an automatic or professional car wash.

Speaking last week, RAC spokeman Simon Williams said “It’s interesting to hear the Sunday morning tradition of cleaning the car is disappearing. This weekend, however, maybe an exception as millions of cars are no doubt still covered with red Sahara desert dust from the strange weather conditions we have experienced this week. This should provide motivation enough to get the hose and cleaning products out and give the car a good spring makeover.”
