Get Your Car Ready for Summer

Now that Spring has truly sprung, we should hopefully have a good few months of sunshine perfect for taking the car out for a leisurely spin.
The RAC has helpfully put together some tips and hints in order to keep both you and your car on the road this summer.
According to them the top reasons for hot weather breakdowns are usually caused by problems with convertible roofs, air conditioning issues, overheating and jammed fuel caps. Also, during the summer of 2013 their patrols were called out to free seized-up bonnet release catches – a indicator that the engine hasn’t been inspected by for some time.
They have also put together a handy list of essentials that they recommend you have in your car at all times during the Summer months. This includes, a first aid kit, an empty fuel can, in-car mobile phone charger and an up-to-date road map or satnav.
If you want to make sure your car is all set for the sunshine we are bound to have (!), bring it along to one of our 3 branches and one of our Vasstech specialists can take a look for you.
